The ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Mountain Club Foundation awarded Julia the Neal Kindig Fellowship for 2015. She will use the fellowship to support her research examining the importance of American three-toed woodpeckers as disturbance specialists in ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥. Julia will use a combination of GIS and field research to determine if spruce beetle outbreaks provide essential habitat for this native woodpecker.
