Meredith Gartner has been awarded a Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Award for 2010-2011 from the Geography and Spatial Sciences Program of the National Science Foundation. Meredith is conducting research in the ponderosa pine zone of the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Front Range on how landscape variability and fire history affect the spread and severity of mountain pine beetle activity.
