ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder has purchased the 8.85 acre property at 1164 W. Dillon Road in Louisville, previously home to a Cinebarre movie theater. Campus’s intention for the property is to build a transit-oriented mixed use development that includes housing for faculty, staff and possibly graduate students.

A comprehensive plan for development is expected to be completed by December 2025. ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder will continue to engage campus constituents, community members and City of Louisville leaders as plans for the site take shape.

Around 200 people attended a visioning session held July 25 at the Louisville Recreation Center, sharing ideas and raising questions about the redevelopment of this property. Feedback collected during the event and from the survey that closed August 26 (with over 100 responses) will be collated and shared as we continue our community engagement and planning for the site.

June 4, 2024: Louisville residents were invited to be part of the visioning process for the 1164 W. Dillon Road (formerly Cinebarre) site.

May 2024: ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder closed on the purchase of the property.

November 7, 2023: The purchase of 1164 W. Dillon Road in Louisville was approved by the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Board of Regents.
