Look to the east tonight to watch a pretty pair rise together —Saturn and the Moon.Ìý

Saturn’s rings are not only beautiful, but they’re huge and stretch 175,000 miles across. If we could pluck Saturn out of the sky and put it between us and the Moon it would fit, but barely. Our Moon is 240,000 miles away on average.

Who knew dirty chunks of ice could be so magnificent?
