FAÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥LTY DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT

In the Office of Faculty Affairs, Mona El Helbawy is the Faculty Fellow with responsibility for faculty mentoring and development. Alongside Michaele Ferguson, she is responsible for overseeing the Across ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Mentoring Center (AÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥Ment), which provides opportunities for peer mentoring, one-on-one mentoring, and coaching to all ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ faculty.ÌýÌý

Mona is Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science. Prior to joining ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder, she taught at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ School of Mines, California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, the College of New Jersey, and York College of Pennsylvania. She also taught abroad at John Cabot University in Rome, Beijing University of Chemical Technology in Beijing, and University of Ha’il in Saudi Arabia. She received her master’s degree in computer science and PhD degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder. Her recent research focuses on wireless communications, wireless sensor networks, analog and digital electronics, and engineering education.Ìý
