Diversity & Excellence Grants fund innovative projects that promote inclusive excellence and diversity throughout the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ system. Grants of up to $3,000 will be awarded for proposals that creatively advance the principles of diversity and inclusion in substantive ways.ÌýThe 2017-18 award recipients will be notified by theÌýÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ System by January 2018.

Eligible:ÌýGrant proposals may be submitted by ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ faculty or staff, as individuals or as teams, but at least one participant mustÌýhave faculty or staff status.

This annual award recognizes significant achievements of faculty, staff, students and academic or administrative units in developing a culturally and intellectually diverse university community reflective of inclusive excellence. As many as four awards of $2,000 each are given.

Eligibility:ÌýNominations are sought in four categories:

  1. Full-time faculty
  2. Full-time staff (university staff or classified)
  3. Full-time undergraduate or graduate students
  4. Academic unit* or administrative units

*Unit refers to academic or administrative offices; staff, faculty, and student committees; and organizations (e.g., alumni) directly associated with ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥.

Candidates for the award should be engaged in meaningful diversity activities beyond their primary responsibilities at the university. Nominations are welcome from any member of the university community.
