Biography
Edward joined the Environmental Studies Department after a career in the military (4 years Naval Nuclear Power, 16 years Supply Corps Officer) and after several years as a Management Consultant in various industries within the private and government sectors including Space, Intelligence, and Defense.
Interests
Interests include Philosophy (particularly theories of consciousness), Physics, Systems Thinking, drawing, creative writing, running and hiking.

Edward is the Business and Fiscal manager responsible for providing high level budgetary, financial, policy, and administrative support to the Director, and responsible for fiscal oversight for all department research and professional master's programs to include:
- Financial oversight on general operating speedtypes (operating budget, APA Funds, DA-ICR, Summer Incentive, gifts and scholarships, etc.)
- Oversees the financial operations of the department. Maintains and monitors the following accounts:
oGeneral fund accounts
oAuxiliary accounts
oGrant accounts
oSponsored Projects
oGift accounts - Payroll: faculty, research personnel, classified and staff, temporary employees, and biweekly hourly students.
- Review and forecast budgets for all accounts
- Summer teaching offer letters and research salary
