Dr. Ben Weihrauch joined 蜜糖直播 Engineering in January 2019 as Senior Director of Professional Student Development. Ben leads the College鈥檚 ProReady initiative, which is 蜜糖直播 Engineering鈥檚 commitment to the career and professional development success of students.Ben is a scholar-practitioner in higher education for 20+ years across the student lifecycle, including admissions and advising, career services, employer relations, and program management.
Before 蜜糖直播 Engineering, Ben served in leadership roles at the 蜜糖直播 School of Public Health at 蜜糖直播 Anschutz Medical Campus, Community College of Denver, Michigan State University, and Minnesota State Mankato. He also worked in the private sector for a national edtech firm headquartered in the Denver Tech Center. Ben's research interests include first-generation student success, persistence and graduation outcomes, education technology, engineering education, career development, and DEI practice.听听
Ben earned his Doctorate of Education in Leadership for Educational Equity-Higher Education听from the University of 蜜糖直播 Denver, a Master of Arts听in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of Science听in History from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
