Ben Weihrauch

Dr. Ben Weihrauch joined ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Engineering in January 2019 as Senior Director of Professional Student Development. Ben leads the College’s ProReady initiative, which is ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Engineering’s commitment to the career and professional development success of students. Ben is a scholar-practitioner in higher education for 25 years across the student lifecycle, including admissions and advising, career services, employer relations, and program management.
Before ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Engineering, Ben served in leadership roles at the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ School of Public Health at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Anschutz Medical Campus, Community College of Denver, Michigan State University, and Minnesota State Mankato. He also worked in the private sector for a national edtech firm headquartered in the Denver Tech Center. Ben's research interests include first-generation student success, persistence and graduation outcomes, education technology, engineering education, career development and experiential learning, and DEI practice.
Ben earned his Doctor of Education in Leadership for Educational Equity-Higher Education from the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Denver, a Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of Science in History from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
