All college staff (including both university and classified staff) will need to have their performance goals entered into Cornerstone by Wednesday, Nov. 22. For this current cycle, you can simply copy and paste the goals from your 2023-24 performance evaluation document into the Cornerstone platform.

It’s time for your nominations for the college’s annual Faculty and Staff Awards. You may nominate colleauges in the categories of teaching, service, research, outstanding staff member and textbook recognition.

Please send your nominations for the faculty awards & textbook award to Fernando Rosario-Ortiz and the staff award to Monique McCloud no later than Nov. 27. Winners will be announced in mid-December and celebrated at the January all-college meeting.

ProReady is a college-wide initiative to prepare every student for career success in their chosen field. A ProReady Partner is any faculty member, staff, or alumnus connected to the college who wants to support the career and professional development of students. .

The nomination window for the is now open! These awards are considered the highest honors granted by the College of Engineering and Applied Science, and faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to consider nominating any alumni that they find deserving. Nominations are due Nov. 15. .

• Congratulations to all of the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Engineering faculty and staff whose innovations made the finals of the Lab Venture Challenge. On Nov. 8-9, they will compete for grants of up to $125,000 at the LVC Showcases.  

Continuing Education’s Online Teaching Academy focuses on increasing the skills and knowledge of faculty and instructors wanting to teach online and hybrid remote/online during the 2024 summer session. The training program will be held during February 2024 and will consist of weekly remote meetings over a four-week period. .

The Teaching International Students (TIS) micro-credential program prepares faculty, graduate students and teaching staff to provide better academic experiences for international students in the United States. The TIS program is designed to be completed over one academic year. Participants must be teaching during the term of the program to fulfill all requirements (as instructor of record or as a TA). Applications are due Nov. 10.
