Share Your Feedback: Inclusive Culture Council Proposal
The college is proposing a college-level that will be added into the . The purpose of the Inclusive Culture Council is to provide strategic leadership and transparency for cultivating an inclusive, equitable, interculturally competentand supportive environment in the College of Engineering and Applied Science.Faculty and staff are encouraged to review the proposal and share their feedback by April 1, in advance of the official vote on May 11.
"My vision for the Inclusive Culture Council is for the college to have a united hub focusing on improving the JEDI culture of our college. We have many students, staff, faculty doing really great work in the field already, so the hope is for the council to help amplify the voices of these community members in order to make lasting systemic change within our community, to allow space for collaboration and connection across engineering disciplines, and to maintain momentum for movements that have already been started." -Debbie Yeh,Area Director,Student Support & Advising Services
Any classified or university staff member who is a full- or part-time, permanent employee in the College of Engineering and Applied Science is eligible to serve. Self-nominations are accepted.
All nominations must be received by April 9. Staff members who accept the nomination and receive clearance from their supervisors will be placed on the college-wide ballot later this semester.Eight candidates will be selected to serve two-year terms starting July 1.
