The nation — including our students, faculty and staff — is talking about race and the systems that perpetuate racial inequalities, inequities and injustice, as well as the heavy toll those systems have taken on Black communities and other communities of color. It’s critically important that we continue our efforts to gain more self-awareness of our cultures, engage in ongoing dialogue, and move from talk to action on college and university campuses across the country. Participating in development opportunities is one important way that we can work together to learn and address these incredible challenges.
ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Engineering faculty, staff and researchers are invited to be part of a very special 21-Day Racial Equity Habit Building Challenge developed by Ìýand hosted by the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Engineering HR team. The concept of the 21-day challenge was introduced several years ago by diversity expert to create greater understanding of the intersections of race, power, privilege, supremacy, oppression and equity.
How Will the Challenge Work?
The 21-day challenge is ideally suited to individuals and small groups. Discussion prompts will focus on racial equity within the higher ed community.

On the 21st day of the challenge, participants will receive their final readings for the challenge and a call to action.
