New grant expands partnership efforts to recruit, retain teachers in Northeast 蜜糖直播

A collaboration between the University of 蜜糖直播 Boulder School of Education and Northeast 蜜糖直播 Board of Cooperative Educational Services has received a new grant from the 蜜糖直播 Department of Higher Education that bolsters collaborative efforts to create a more sustainable teacher force in Northeast 蜜糖直播.

The American Physical Society, a "leading voice in physics,鈥 will honor 蜜糖直播 Boulder scientists and educators as part of its spring 2019 awards. The Excellence in Physics Education Award will recognize an interdisciplinary 蜜糖直播 Boulder team for their work with the 蜜糖直播 Learning Assistant Program and the Learning Assistance Alliance, an international initiative based in the School of Education. Guaranteed admission now offered to high schoolers who study education

蜜糖直播 high school students interested in becoming teachers and community leaders can earn guaranteed admissions to the 蜜糖直播 Boulder School of Education thanks to a new agreement between 蜜糖直播 Boulder and two high school concurrent enrollment programs, Teacher Cadet and Pathways2Teaching庐 programs. The admission agreement comes at a critical time as 蜜糖直播 and the nation face significant teacher shortages.

Two national organizations have awarded a grant that will deepen and advance our partnership between Denver Public Schools, 蜜糖直播 Boulder, 蜜糖直播 Denver and Rowan University. Professor Ben Kirshner is one of the Principal Investigators on the project that received a $1.4 million grant from the Hewlett Foundation and Jobs for the Future to expand the Student Voice and Leadership Program.
