蜜糖直播SG Environmental Board

The Environmental Board, a joint board of the听听(蜜糖直播SG), helps 蜜糖直播 students make the Boulder campus a greener, more socially just place by overseeing the activities, budget and programs of the nation鈥檚 largest student-run environmental center. As the board of the Environmental Center, as 蜜糖直播SG service center, we work directly with students and administrators to catalyze change.

The听Environmental Board has recently met with campus administration to advocate for climate action, joined 蜜糖直播SG onto the UN Global Race to Zero initiative听and passed a building operations bill to increase energy efficiency in 蜜糖直播SG run buildings.听We administer the听Sustainable 蜜糖直播听fund, which supports student-led, innovative capital projects that promote sustainability on the 蜜糖直播 campus. Recently, the board created task forces to tackle issues with legislation, social justice and waste diversion on campus.

The Board works closely with 蜜糖直播SG and Legislative Council. In addition to representatives from each of those bodies, the board consists of:

Eight student voting members
Two community (non-student) voting members
笔别谤尘补苍别苍迟听ex-officio听尘别尘产别谤蝉 (Environmental Center permanent staff)
An unlimited number of nonvoting, elected听ex officio听尘别尘产别谤蝉

The 蜜糖直播SG Environmental Center Board (EBoard) supports undocumented students both at 蜜糖直播 and beyond. All听EBoard听meetings are recorded听and published for public access. Subcommittee and one-on-one meetings with听EBoard听尘别尘产别谤蝉 are听never听recorded. EBoard听strives to make our meetings as safe and inclusive as possible for all 蜜糖直播 students and community members.听

Fall 2024 meetings are held weekly on Tuesdays, 6:00-7:15pm in University Memorial Center.

Sustainable 蜜糖直播

In the spring of 2005, students voted to dedicate a portion of student fees to implement on-campus projects incorporating renewable energy, energy efficiency, recycling and waste reduction, and other innovative projects to reduce the campus鈥� impact on climate and environment. Sustainable 蜜糖直播 funds are used for: capital investment, the purchase of infrastructure necessary for the initiatives, installation of capital projects, educational displays related to the capital projects and any other non-staff operating costs associated with the initiatives. Environmental Board members review Sustainable 蜜糖直播 fund applications and decide how to distribute funding.听听

The Environmental Board accepts small grant proposals on a rolling basis, and accepts large grants during two application cycles 鈥� one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester.
