By the Numbers - Fall 2012

The main campus started as 44 acres in the 1870s. Since then, it has grown to 313 acres. More than 2,000 irrigation stations exist throughout the campus. Up to 10,000 pounds of recyclables are processed each day. Over 220 tons of grounds debris and 118 tons of pre/post-consumer food waste are composted. The solar panels atop the Center for Community supply enough power for 20 average-sized houses.
