The football program lost five scholarships due to substandard results on the Academic Progress Rate report for the period from 2005-09. ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ officials had anticipated the penalty and thus reduced the scholarships they awarded for the 2009 season.

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ men’s golf coach Roy Edwards signed a recruit, AustralianÌýPatrick WilsonÌýwho is ranked among the world’s top 110 amateur players, according toÌýGolfweekÌýmagazine. Meanwhile, a transfer from Pepperdine, juniorÌýJessica Wallace, has joined the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ women’s golf team. Wallace finished 21st in the 2010 Women’s NCAA Championship Finals.

Former ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ runnersÌýAdam GoucherÌý(Comm’98),ÌýShayne Wille CulpepperÌý(PolSci’97) andÌýDanny ReeseÌý(A&S’85)Ìýwere inducted into the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Running Hall of Fame in May. Former ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ women’s basketball playerÌýSherrice KingÌý(Psych ex’93) will be inducted into the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Springs Sports Hall of Fame on Oct. 27.

Seven Coloradans will be among the 15 newcomers joining the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ volleyball team for the 2010 fall season.
