We support听first-generation scholars by:

  • Creating visibility.听We highlight and center the experiences of first-generation students, faculty and staff across campus.听
  • Enhancing strengths.听We promote and host regular academic, professional听and community-building events that center the strengths, skills听and diverse experiences of first-generation students.
  • Fostering a sense of community and celebration.听We create spaces of connection, mentorship听and community among students who identify as first generation.

Note that while our primary role is to support scholars, all first-generation students can see the听campus resources listed below.听

  • Partnerships.听We create synergistic relationships with campus partners to strengthen and expand resources for first-generation students.
  • 颁别濒别产谤补迟颈辞苍.听We听foster a sense of belonging by celebrating first-generation identities and community through authentic self-expression.
  • 罢谤补苍蝉蹿辞谤尘补迟颈辞苍.听We design and implement community engagement and career-based opportunities for first-generation students and other identities.
