Associate Teaching Professor Azadeh Bolhari has been selected by Fulbright Brazil as a U.S. specialist to lead a workshop titled "Fostering DEI through Personalized Learning Systems for Neurodivergent Undergraduate Engineering Students.”

Part of the Fulbright Brazil Special Program for the Modernization of Undergraduate Education (PMG), this initiative is supported by the Fulbright Commission, the Brazilian Ministry of Education, the U.S. Embassy in Brasília and the Conselho Nacional de Educação (CNE) or the National Council of Education.

Bolhari’s workshop will engage 50 faculty members from eight universities dedicated to modernizing engineering education, with representatives from CNE, Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), or the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel, Fulbright, and the U.S. Embassy.

Deloitte and the University of ��ֱ�� Boulder Climate Innovation Collaboratory Research Awards selected three CEAE faculty members for funding: Associate Professor Kyri Baker’s proposal “Viability of Long- and Short-Duration Energy Storage for AI Data Centers: Carbon, Cost and Reliability” and Associate Professor Mija Hubler (PI) and Associate Professor Jeong-Hoon Song’s(co-PI) proposal, “Framework for Mix Design Relations of Low-Embedded Carbon using Local Materials."

Deloitte and ��ֱ�� Boulder launched the Climate Innovation Collaboratory to translate cutting-edge climate research and data into meaningful climate solutions for businesses, organizations, government agencies and communities.

Deloitte and the University of ��ֱ�� Boulder Climate Innovation Collaboratory Research Awards selected three CEAE faculty members for funding.

Professor Mark Hernandez, his former PhD student Emmalee Biesiada and colleague Steve Hughes were among five winning teams of University of ��ֱ�� Boulder faculty, researchers and graduate student innovators awarded $125,000 in this year’s Lab Venture Challenge (LVC) in the biosciences category. Their company is developing Peroxide Enhanced Germicidal Irradiation (PEGI) for rapid, low-resource sterilization of microbial contaminants.

On April 26, 50 students from ��ֱ�� Boulder's Construction Engineering and Management program, including including one PhD, eight MS and 41 BS students, celebrated their spring 24 graduation at the CEM graduation ceremony. The ceremony took place at the Rustandy Connector, which connects the engineering center and business school. Maja Rosenquist, senior vice president of Mortenson Construction, delivered the keynote address.

The CEM program in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering focuses on preparing students for careers in the construction industry by providing them with the necessary technical and managerial skills to plan, design and oversee construction projects.

On April 26, 50 students from ��ֱ�� Boulder's Construction Engineering and Management program graduated at the Rustandy Connector.
