Bella Malherbe

Bella Malherbe is currently pursuing a BAM (Batchelor’s Accelerated Masters) in Art History at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder. In her undergraduate thesis, Bella focused on the potentials of the Black queer body to disrupt essentializing narratives within ethics of the Anthropocene, using Zanele Muholi’s Bhekisisa, Sakouli Beach, Mayotte as a case study. Her current research seeks to expand this work by exploring queer ecology, lesbian bodies, and the photograph as a living object. In addition to her studies, Bella is a lead museum attendant at the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Art Museum where she assisted in the curation of Better Days.Ìý
