Dr. Suess studies the formation and evolution of galaxies using data from across the electromagnetic spectrum, from optical to radio. Her primary interests include the evolution of galaxy sizes and structures across cosmic time, understanding why and how galaxies stop forming stars, and developing new methods to learn about the spatially-resolved properties of galaxies at cosmic noon. Currently, Dr. Suess is leading the “Medium Bands, Mega Science” imaging survey with the new James Webb Space Telescope, co-leading a search for low-mass satellite galaxies at cosmic noon, and co-leading the multi-wavelength SQuIGGLE survey of recently-quenched galaxies at z<1.
