CarolineÌýEvans

My name is Caroline Evans and I’m joining the APS department for the 2023-2024 school year. My primary research interests lie in the intersection of theoretical and computational astrophysics. Currently, I am working on the coronal loop heating problem via modeling and analysis of the magnetohydrodynamics of the solar corona.ÌýMy previous work has spanned the stellar lifetime from molecular clouds to core-collapse supernovae. But, my research at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ builds on the coronal loop heating work I did at the joint NASA Marshall Space Flight Center and University of Alabama in Huntsville heliophysics REU.

When I can, I enjoy teaching and communicating about physics and our universe with the wider community. In my free time, I like to play the trumpet, bake, and explore local coffee shops.Ìý
