Stories from the collections

Three short choral works linked through poetry

Brian Stone edited and arranged George Lynn's music drawing on听three poems, "An Ended Day" by Walt Whitman, "Look at the Stars" by Ralf Waldo Emerson and "Moons Ending" by Sara Teasdale.

Transcribing George Lynn Music for classical guitar

Isabella Fincher writes, "I found myself in the Norlin Library鈥檚 Special Collections and Archives sifting through听countless folders from the George Lynn Collection, entranced by Lynn鈥檚 powerful, direct听compositional style."

The Perry Como collection

During his career, Perry Como听hosted and performed on television series from 1948 to 1963,听hosted TV specials until 1992,听and recorded 22 albums and 147 singles. Check out this听short video and slide show听highlighting his life and music.

The George Lynn collection

Emilie Bertram听writes, "The听opportunity to bring two of Lynn's听unpublished pieces to life was a fulfilling endeavor. Not only was I able to further my transcription, editing, and arranging skills, but I was able to explore Lynn鈥檚 legacy."
