I received a BS in Mathematics from the College of William & Mary in Virginia in 2005. In 2011 I received a PhD in Applied Mathematics from ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder. I was a postdoc at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU from 2011 to 2015, and I joined the faculty of Applied Mathematics at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder in the fall of 2015, where I have been tenured since 2022. My research interests encompass subgrid-scale parameterization for global ocean models, the development of new data assimilation methods, and the theory of geophysical fluid dynamics and turbulence. I am a lifetime member of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and of the American Geophysical Union. I am a co-chair of the , a member of the , and an associate editor for the Journal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems.
